Miriam L. Franco Ayala
Founder & Owner – Black Lions USA FC
Miriam Lorena Franco Ayala was born and raised in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, a city deeply rooted in soccer tradition and culture. Her lifelong connection with the sport began at the age of six when her late father, Enrique Franco, first introduced her to the game that would come to define her life. Seeing her growing passion and natural ability, her father went on to create a youth team called Cachorras, a name that still carries special meaning for Miriam and symbolizes the start of her journey in soccer.
As a young athlete, Miriam played for some of Mexico’s most recognized clubs, including Jalisco Club and Atlas Club, where she honed her skills and discipline both on and off the field. Her exceptional talent and dedication led her to be invited to participate with the Mexican National Team, an opportunity that reflected her hard work, perseverance, and deep understanding of the game.
With over 20 years of experience as a player, coach, and mentor, Miriam has built her life around the sport she loves. Soccer has not only been her passion but her driving force—a source of strength, growth, and purpose. Through challenges and triumphs, the game has taught her invaluable lessons about leadership, teamwork, and resilience, all of which she now strives to pass on to others.
In founding Black Lions USA FC, Miriam sought to create more than just a soccer club—she envisioned a community built on integrity, discipline, and opportunity. Her mission is to give young athletes the foundation and support they need to reach their fullest potential, both as players and as individuals. Under her leadership, Black Lions USA FC has grown into a respected organization that emphasizes player development, education, and personal growth while promoting inclusivity and respect for the sport.
Miriam takes immense pride in watching her players evolve—from their first day on the field to their journeys into higher levels of competition, college programs, and professional paths. To her, every success story represents not only a win for the club but a continuation of her father’s legacy and the lifelong lessons soccer has taught her.

Michelle J. Lopez
Chief Executive Officer & Co-Owner – Black Lions USA FC
Michelle J. Lopez, the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Owner of Black Lions USA FC, was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. From an early age, she was introduced to the world of sports by her late grandfather, Manuel M. Lopez, whose passion and encouragement helped spark her lifelong love for athletics.
Growing up, Michelle was a dedicated multi-sport athlete, competing in basketball, softball, volleyball, and tennis—both recreationally and competitively. Each sport provided her with a unique perspective on teamwork, discipline, and leadership. These formative experiences instilled in her a deep appreciation for the transformative power of sports and their ability to build character, confidence, and community.
Alongside her athletic pursuits, Michelle cultivated a successful career in the legal field, where she developed strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills. Her professional background provided her with the foundation to manage complex operations, foster collaboration, and advocate for fairness and integrity—values that now guide her leadership at Black Lions USA FC.
As CEO and Co-Owner, Michelle’s vision for the club extends far beyond athletic success. She believes that sports have the power to shape lives and strengthen families, offering children an outlet for growth both on and off the field. She is passionate about ensuring that every parent and young athlete who joins Black Lions USA FC feels supported, valued, and confident in the club’s commitment to excellence.
Michelle firmly believes that sports play a vital role in a child’s physical, mental, and emotional development. They promote fitness and health, teach teamwork and leadership, and build resilience, self-esteem, and social skills that carry into adulthood. For her, the greatest reward is seeing players thrive—not only as athletes but as confident, well-rounded individuals who carry the lessons learned through soccer into every aspect of their lives.
